Sealing Residential Slabs with DeepCure Repeller

Tech Talk: Sealing Residential Slabs with DeepCure Repeller

Permanent protection against rising moisture, salts, and contaminants—without changing the look of the slab.

The Challenge

  • Efflorescence: white salt deposits that stain finishes and signal ongoing moisture movement.
  • Health risks: persistent damp promotes mould/mildew and poor indoor air quality.
  • Flooring failures: softened adhesives, warped timber, lifting vinyl/engineered floors.
  • Slab face ingress: moisture through slab edges drives wall damp, skirting damage and paint failure.

Conformance You Can Trust

DeepCure Repeller is supported by NATA-tested evidence demonstrating that it
conforms with the purpose of all relevant Australian Standards for curing, damp/moisture control and residential slab construction, including
AS3799 (curing compounds), AS2904 (damp-proof courses & flashings), and AS2870 (residential slabs & footings).

The Solution — DeepCure Repeller

DeepCure Repeller is a spray-applied cure, densify & repel system that penetrates the capillary network of concrete and becomes part of the matrix.
It blocks moisture and salt transport from within—unlike topical films that wear or peel—while preserving the slab’s appearance and breathability.

Full Slab Seal

Treat entire slabs to stop rising damp and contaminant migration across the whole footprint.

Edge Protection

Target slab faces to prevent wall damp, skirting damage and paint blistering.

Long-Term Performance

In-matrix reaction provides permanent performance—no film to wear off or re-apply.

Key Benefits for Residential Builders

  • Zero efflorescence by eliminating the transport path for salts.
  • Healthier homes with reduced damp-driven mould risk.
  • Flooring warranty protection—keeps adhesives and finishes stable.
  • Crack minimisation via improved early-age curing performance.
  • One-step process—cure, densify and repel in a single application.
  • Compatible surfaces—does not alter appearance or breathability.

How It Works

  1. Cure: Applied as soon as the slab is trafficable, DeepCure Repeller retains internal moisture to optimise hydration and early strength, reducing shrinkage cracking.
  2. Densify: Reactive chemistry forms additional C-S-H gel that tightens the pore structure.
  3. Repel: Hydrophobic actives bond to capillary walls, creating a durable, in-depth water- and salt-repelling network while maintaining vapour breathability.

Best-Practice Application

Timing

Apply once the slab is trafficable and before any other compound, coating, or floor prep.

Preparation

Surface must be free of debris, standing water, curing films, or contaminants.

Coverage & Method

Low-pressure spray to refusal; work evenly. Follow label/datasheet guidance for coverage on full slabs vs. slab edges.

Storage & Warranty

Store indoors away from direct sun/extremes. Warranty claims require photos and completed form per T&Cs.

Conformance Statement

Conformance You Can Trust: DeepCure Repeller conforms with the purpose of all relevant Australian Standards for concrete curing, damp/moisture control and residential slab construction, including AS3799, AS2904, and AS2870, supported by NATA-tested evidence.

Note: Always follow the product label and technical datasheet. Performance depends on correct preparation, application, and site conditions.
