For optimal performance and long-term durability, internal concrete surfaces are typically finished with a smooth, burnished finish that provides a high-quality, non-staining surface ideal for working and high-traffic areas. This finish enhances wear resistance, reduces dusting, and allows for easier cleaning, contributing to a superior aesthetic and hygienic environment. External concrete pavements are finished with a broomed texture to provide enhanced slip resistance and improved safety under wet or variable weather conditions.
Using the recommended chemical treatments not only ensures a premium, non-staining finish but also delivers significant return on investment (ROI) for building owners. These treatments extend the effective surface life of concrete by reducing cracking, surface degradation, and moisture ingress, which in turn minimizes costly repairs and maintenance. Additionally, treated surfaces require less cleaning effort over time, reducing operational costs and preserving the integrity and appearance of the concrete for years to come.
Below are the recommended chemical specifications tailored for each application area to maximize curing efficiency, surface hardness, and long-term protection.
Project Application Area: Internal Concrete Working Surfaces
Product System: DEEPCURE CS + DENSACURE (Optional: TOPSEAL)
Note: DEEPCURE Repeller is not used as the curing compound on internal slabs as it prevents DENSACURE from properly penetrating the surface during burnishing.
Primary Application (Post-Pour):
Product: INTEGRA DEEPCURE + REPELLER
Application Timing: Immediately after concrete pour, once surface bleed water has evaporated and slab is trafficable without surface damage.
Purpose: Penetrating curing and hardening compound that increases surface durability, reduces water ingress, minimizes dusting, and provides long-term protection against salt and moisture.
